We all know that mom life is a lot on our plate and on our brains. It’s a big mental load to be the responsible person for the kids, the house, all the things…

And then there’s this added layer, if you’re a mom entrepreneur, the mental load of entrepreneur life. It can be a lot and it’s a lot to carry around. It’s a lot to take on by yourself. We’re going to talk about it. Get ready with me. Hang in here with me. We’re going to talk about how to relieve some of that mental load of the mom and entrepreneur life today.

Simplify is so powerful. The most powerful thing I can do in my business is to simplify any task.

Make it so it’s easy, it’s doable, it’s repeatable.

When you are a mom you are responsible for everything!

  • Staying alive
  • Getting the kids fed
  • The house
  • The schedule
  • The transportation
  • The homework
  • The feedings
  • The medicine
  • Everything that has to do with the house


When you are an entrepreneur you are always thinking about

  • What you should do
  • 10 Steps forward
  • 10 steps back
  • What worked
  • What didn’t
  • What you have to do today
  • What do you have to do tomorrow
  • What about your clients
  • The marketing


If you are feeling tired and the mental load weight

  • You are not alone
  • It is normal to feel that


What needs to stop being normalized is

  • The need to continue to carry the mental load


You need to relive that mental load

  • There is a lot going on
  • You need to reset a little bit
  • You are juggling two sides of the coin


The mental load is exhausting

  • Ask yourself how can you relieve some of this mental load?
  • You need to reset your brain


Using the system Trello will

  • Maximize your time/profit
  • Gets everything out of the forefront of your brain
  • Allows you to take all the info and dissect it
  • Tells you what you need to actually focus on today


Learn your priorities

  • Assign times and days for tasks
  • Trust your brain to come back to tasks that are not assigned for that day
  • Don’t look at everything all at once
  • Look at the things you need to do today
    • Focus on that
    • Relieve yourself on focusing on other tasks


When you are carrying around a long to-do list every day

  • You’re thinking about them every single day
    • So you start to believe that you actually did some of the work
  • Are you actually taking action on those thoughts
    • Or are you just thinking about it so much but not actually doing anything?


We have to start incorporating action

  • It’s better for you to do two things
    • Than just think about 20
  • You have to have a mindset shift
  • Those actions are going to start eliminating those things from the list


Simplify your life

  • You need
    • Simple strategies
    • Simple ways of doing things
    • To not make it complicated
    • To create simple and repeatable actions
      • This will get things off your to-do list
      • Take things off your plate
      • It will help you to take action
  • Simplify is so powerful
    • It’s the most powerful thing I can do in my business
    • It makes everything
      • Easy
      • Doable
      • Repeatable


What can you simplify in your life?

  • What are you making complicated that does not have to be?
  • How can you simplify that into smaller things?


Here’s your challenge to relieve your mental load

  • Retrain your brain to trust you
    • So that when you put something down in your system that your going to do it
  • Don’t think about your to-do list and all the things it’s going to take to do it
    • Instead do it
    • Track the data
    • Make sure you are taking action
  • Simplify
    • How can you take that big thing and turn it into smaller things
      • Break the task down
        • To not be so overwhelmed
        • To actually make progress

Ask yourself

  • Where can I start to train my brain?
  • Where can I simplify things?
  • Where can I take more small actions and stop thinking about all the things?
  • How can you relive the mental load?
