Listen as Lani shares:

Tool number 1: Your phone timer

  • What tasks do you drag your feet on?
    • The tasks you really don’t want to do
    • Writing your emails
    • Reading social media content
    • Making pins on Pinterest
  • You want to get as much done in as little amount of time
    • You want to beat the clock

  • Spending an hour writing one post is too much time
    • You’re probably over thinking it

  • Using your phone timer is a great way to
    • Trick your brain into staying hyper focused on that thing

  • Pick tasks that are timer suckers for you
    • Challenge yourself to get them done within
      • 10 mins
      • 20 mins
      • 30 mins
    • Lean into that for a few weeks
      • See how that impacts you

You can use the phone timer tool for cleaning your house too!

  • Use a timer for tasks
    • That seam to stretch into more time
    • To have focus
    • To add intentionality to your task
    • For fast moving action
    • So that you’ll stop
      • Overthinking
      • Stalling out
      • Having squirrel distractions
    • You want done and off your to-do list

Tool number 2: Use your phone to message an accountability partner

  • Your accountability partner could be
    • Free or paid for
    • A business specialist
    • Your sister
    • Your cousin
    • Your husband
    • Your daughter
    • Someone in your phone contacts

  • Have someone that can hold you accountable to get the task done
    • Tell them what you are going to do
      • They will follow up and ask you about it
    • Sometimes just telling someone what we are going to do
      • Will motivate us
      • Keep us
        • Focussed
        • Productive

  • Hold yourself accountable by
    • Asking someone to partner with you
    • We need that accountability

  • If you need an accountability partner
    • Check out the Brilliant Mompreneurs Society
      • Someone there would love to partner with you
    • Someone in your world will
      • Support you
      • Help you
      • Hold you accountable
