Ep. 72 What to do when you are feeling tired as a mom entrepreneur

with Lani Jackson

Hey BRILLIANT mamas!

Not only are we headed into the busy holiday season, but we are also in the midst of germ season! If you haven’t already, you may find yourself feeling tired, sick, and worn down as a mom and entrepreneur during this season.
So what do you do when you are feeling tired as a mom entrepreneur?
This week’s episode is focusing on practical tips and advice from one mompreneur to another.

"...you are human. No, we don't want to be, but you are. And so that might mean, you need to take a break.
And it's better for me to take a break now than to continue to be frustrated, and beat myself up.
...our bodies do need rest in order to heal. And it's hard for us as moms to take that rest when we're taking care of everyone else, not to mention running a business.
So what can you juggle around to not allow yourself that rest?
What can you say no to? What can you let go for a couple of days?
I promise the world is not going to fall apart."

Discussed in this Episode...

Simple things to remind yourself when you are tired:

1. Remind yourself that you won’t feel this way forever.
2. Acknowledge that your body and mind are tired and trying to tell you what they need
3. Debunk the lie to yourself that if you take time to rest that you am lazy or not productive.
4. Look for 1-3 small things I can do with low energy to help you feel you accomplished and then once completing those, commit to resting.
5. Instead of watching tv or reading, consider choose a non-electronic rest activity.
