Ep. 84 The importance of casting a vision for results

You’ve heard of the ‘I help’ statement. People ask you, “What do you do?” Those are really important things to know but there is a really powerful piece that is missing for so many of us as entrepreneurs like myself.
I started this way, I’ve been guilty of this. I’ll come and just tell somebody, “Oh, I’m a business coach and clarity coach and I help people with business strategies for mom entrepreneurs.” And that’s supposed to generate excitement and interest?!
Nope, it does not because it doesn’t paint any kind of picture or cast a vision of what could happen if that person that was listening to me is a mom entrepreneur. Me telling them what I do and what my titles are mean, nothing!
We need to cast a vision for them and the results that they want. Whenever we’re talking to someone, we should be able to clearly communicate and paint that picture that is going to get their mind like ‘Yes, please!’
“Because it’s not really that sexy and fun to be told, You need systems and a strategy.’ So if I just went and promoted ‘You need systems and strategies if you want more income,’ y’all would just tune me out!
So I have to be able to paint for you the thing that you’re gonna get. Those results! And then tell you how that’s gonna happen in a way that you’re gonna relate to.
You’re gonna get the income and bonus points, you’re gonna get the strategy and the systems along the way.”

The more saturated our industries and online spaces become, the more we have to stand out with specific results!
Know the pain points of your audience
- Use words that trigger relatability
- Mom guilt
- Frustration
- Not enough time
- Not in control of my schedule
- How do I get more income without working more
Answer the question: “How is hiring you going to change them from pain to these amazing results?”
- Keep in mind: What they say they need might not actually be what they really need.
- As an expert you have insider knowledge
- If a client says, “I just need more money”
- I know that what they really want and need is:
- Time under control
- Energy and brain exhaustion under control
- Life of freedom
- Less mom guilt
- Flexibility for their family
- I know that what they really want and need is:
Have fun with your messaging
- Play around with different messages to grab attention
- Tell different stories
- Paint those pictures!
- Cast that vision of what working with you can do for those potential clients
