Ep 56. Letting go of pressure and hustle mindset!

The Summer Shorts Series

Hey BRILLIANT mamas!

There is so much pressure on us as moms and entrepreneurs! Our lists go on forever with things we are supposed to do. There’s pressure to make sure our kids have perfectly balanced meals, the best education, in our business there social media pressure, pressure to grow out business faster or show up in a different way, have a bigger email list, have a perfect website, to always be “hustling” and the list goes on and on and on. So today I’m giving you three ways to change that narrative and go from pressure and hustle, to intentionality!

"I want you to be inspired by other mamas! I love being inspired by other mom entrepreneurs! But when you start to compare yourself, or feel guilty because you're not keeping up with them that's not healthy. So let's put our blinders on for the rest of the summer, stop looking at everyone else, and focus on what you know you need to do!"

Discussed in this Episode...

1. Narrow in

Choose only the things that are most important to you, your family and your business! You cannot do all the things all the time! Unless you’re hiring it out, it’s just not a realistic expectation. So what are the top most important things you can focus on right now? Simplify by prioritizing.

What are the top three things you much do in your business in the next three weeks, in order to see the most growth? Focus on those and don’t expect to be able to “do it all”.

2. Put your blinders on!

Stop looking at everyone else! You don’t know their story and their life, what they’ve hired out or if they’re feeling completely burnt out. You can’t compare your life to someone else, because you don’t know their whole picture. Now, be inspired by other mamas! That’s amazing and I love learning from other Mompreneurs, but stop at comparison.

3. Stop "should-ing" on yourself.

I say this to myself all the time! When I find myself starting to say “I should do this, I should have done that, I should have this”. I want you to remember a few things with this:

First, you are in control of this. You do NOT have to create a course, or do one-on-one coaching, or fill in the blank. You can choose to do what is most important for you, your family, and your business growth right now, and there is no one who can pressure you or force you into more.

Next, give yourself grace. Maybe you really want to do some of these things, but it’s just not the right time. You’re wrapping up summer and getting ready to send our kids back to school very soon. Or maybe your energy is low because you’re tapped out. Whatever it is, give yourself grace!

And finally, you can see big results from focused efforts. I know we want to diversify our businesses and have multiple streams of income. Yes, that is the goal! But when you focus in and are super intentional, and use your energy to its full potential, the results will blow your mind. This cracks me up because it’s almost always the simplest action when you break it down!
