Ep 61. Do you have an Emergency Plan in place for your business?
The Summer Shorts Series
"While building your social media is so important, and having followers and likes and etc. You also want to be simultaneously building an email list, because truly, an email list is the only thing you can really own besides your website. And on social media platforms, we just have rented space."
Discussed in this Episode...
Have you built it all on social media?
Who else has access to your business?
The second thing I want to talk about is emergency access for your clients. If something happens to you, or you are in a situation where you can’t get to a client meeting, or if your kids have an emergency, how will you reach out to your clients to let them know what’s going on? If you do not have a VA, I would write out some simple instructions that a business bestie or your husband can do to access all of your accounts, and have an emergency broadcast system set up. There are programs in some client management systems, like Dubsado, where you could have a client broadcast. Having a way to broadcast to all of your clients one single message is a really convenient way to get in touch with them. Or if you don’t have a client management system, you can take all of your current clients and projects, and keep them in a special group on your email management system. That way you can email all of them at the same time, quickly and easily.
More Discussed:
- Protecting access to your Facebook groups
- Centralizing your passwords and accounts for emergency access
- Have you backed up your business?
